Overdentures, or Implant Retained Dentures, are used most commonly to ensure that your dentures stay inplace during normal activities such as eating, speaking and laughing. Having overdentures installed can ease irritation of gum tissue that can occur from moving dentures and from dental adhesives.
Overdentures are dentures which are supported directly by your gums. The dentures are held in place by implants located in your upper and/or lower jaw. This is a removable denture which is secured to the implants via small attachments incorporated into the denture.
